Chat Patta Austin Reviews

Wish I had taken pictures but it was 1 am. Can you believe they serve food till 3 am?! Anyways amazing food! Service is also top notch! Highly recommend this food truck.

Great food .,absolutely delicious and authentic food. Loved the service !!!! Strongly recommend!!!!

The tacos and butter chicken is delicious one of my favorite food truck west campouse

Food tasted great! I love the dip that comes with the fries. Super tasty. Will come back to try others!

By far the best food truck in this food court. The chicken biryani and butter chicken are my go-to's here. The chef here is super fast, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are cheap. You have to eat on one of the benches, but it's super casual and absolutely no frills

FIREEEE. Get their tacos, samosas, chaat & masala fries!! It's so good. Perfect desi food after a night out. 10/10 recommend!

The circus has come to town at 26th and Rio Grande. This is the food court that serves the West Campus Area. It is in the middle of Sorority Row - but I don't think there was a fraternity or sorority type anywhere on the premises. The food court draws an even mix of international students and just-plain-nuts students. Just-plain-nuts students are my favorite kind. I don't think anyone in the place owned a single burnt orange garment. * * * The food court has lights strung across the top to resemble a big top or a carnaval. The carts are all gaily colored and could easily be circus wagons. One cart sells bongs and hookahs. (!!!) One cart fixes cell phones. (BO-ring). The other carts are generally international food of some kind or bonkers-crazy version of American food. Some of the international trucks are a little bonkers too. There were two separate Brazilian trucks there - which I always view as a good sign. * * * Chat Patta is the Pakistani street food truck. It is a mix of Indo-Paki curry standards such as Butter Chicken or Chana Masala, a large selection of street food desserts, and a decent selection of street food snacks. There is more to life than curry, you know. I went with the street-iest street food item on the menu - masala fries. My beloved companion went for a chana masala. The Chana Masala was pleasant enough. My street fries were spicy as hell. Spicy as hell suits me just fine. I was completely entertained. The other Yelp reviews suggest that the rest of the menu is just great too. Based on recommendations and what I personally like - The next time I come, I could easily go for the Butter Chicken. But 26th and Rio Grande has just a whole lot of food carts and they all look damm good. It may take a while for me to get back to try that butter chicken. * * * The Circus is in Town. I want to see all the acts.

Great food and amazing customer service. Fazal bhai was very nice and his food is amazing. We tried there Pani puri which was good and loved their Chai. Will be back soon to try more of the menu items.

Good portions and dependable. Tbh there isn't that much good south asian food in Austin so it's nice to have this place. I go here pretty much every time I go to the food trucks. The Chicken 65 is delicious, Butter Chicken is delicious, Samosa Chaat is delicious. Obviously Mango Lassi is delicious. Kinda expensive but austin moment
